Someone had told me that a doctor told them to not eat past 4pm if they were serious about losing weight. Is that true that not eating past 4pm could help you lose weight? (Followed by a healthy diet and exercise.)

I'm not planning on doing this, but I was just curious! Thanks!

It all depends on what time you start your day. For a healthy diet, you should eat 6 small meals everyday. Combined with exercise, you will lose weight (don't forget the water!!!).

Not eating after 4pm will actually slow your metabolism down. Yes, you can lose weight this way, but what you'll be losing is your muscle, not your fat because your body believes that it is starving and it will feed off of your muscle before it feeds on your fat.

Eat 6 meals, drink alot of water and exercise 30-60 minutes per day with one day off. You'll lose weight!

Good Luck!

When you eat does not affect weight and/or weight loss. As long as you burn off the calories the next day, that is.
