These are the words of the apostle Paul somewhere in one of his letters in the New Testament. I think he was stressing that a devout person could more aptly serve the Lord as a single person than one who was tied down to the vocation of marriage 24/7. On the other hand, he was saying that if the person who desired to serve the Lord were to constantly have sex on his/her mind or was always looking to "get some," as is often said these days, Paul felt it would be better for such a person to be married than to be sending the wrong messages with his/her example of sexual immorality and acts of fornication.

seems pretty self-explanitory.
Paul's message was that God wants dedicated followers and that if sexual desires distract you, perhaps it is better to go without temptations. so a married man obviously wants to be with his wife at some time in his life or another. but if his wife's body prevents him from serving God, he should reassess his priorities. not "take time off" from his wife or divorce her, but atleast make sure he knows God is first.
also, for the unmarried, same concept. if you can balance extreme service (by extreme, I mean like missionaries or evangelicals) and marriage, go for it. if you can't, just stay at home and do what God has called you to do there.

It means if you are not able to keep your sexual desires under control then you should get married so that you have an "outlet" for those desires. Its better to find a wife and have a marriage ordained by God and keep sex within the marriage instead of making immoral choices.

God asks that sexual relations take place within marriage only. If a person wants that kind of relationship, they need to be married. It can be very frustrating to desire intimate relations and not have a husband or wife. Now I realize that many people these days don't care if they are married or not.....but that is how God has designed it. Sex is to be within marriage only, one man, one woman.

Adultery... did you divorce her or she divorce you.. there is a difference you know...
you don't seem to be able to move beyond getting to know a person other than the physical... there is no sin in masturbation... you're just horny it happens to people maybe if you stop thinking in terms of sin and started thinking in terms of healing you might get somewhere.... we are given unrealistic ideas in our head of good and evil... but in religion they are limited to from my religion good not my religion evil... but when we get our heads out of the sand and look at life for what it is we see right and wrong... what is being harmed quite frankly only you are... so get over yourself masturbate till it's out of you and start looking at women as humans the same qualities you look for in friendship with a man... then and only then will you get beyond it...

The assumption is that married men can get it on with their wives and allegedly not lust after a plethora of women. It's basically saying, get a wife so you can get sex often because sex isn't guaranteed if you're not married - then all you can do is lust after women (and perhaps sleep with many and get a disease and die...). So that's really all that means.

Just get married instead of being a lusty pig,if you are struggling dating someone and you do not believe in sex before marriage it can get really heated. So the bible instructs you to get married, instead of being in sin.

IF YOU DONT MARRY AND YOU HAVE SEX OUTSIDE OF MARRIAGE OR ANY TYPE OF SEXUAL SIN THAN, OF COURSE, IT IS NOT A GOOD THING. SIN DESTROYS THE HEARTS OF MANY! (NONE OF US R PERFECT THOUGH...WE JUST MUST STRIVE FOR IT.)THAT IS WHAT IT IS SAYING.......IM SURE THAT GOD WILL SEND YOU A GOOD WIFE. ITS ALL IN HIS TIMING THOUGH. ROMANS 8:28

It is better to fulfill your sexual desires in marriage than to be consumed with them to the point of committing fornication or other sexual sin.
