And why so? What scriptures back up your beliefs?

For myself I look to the future with hope. Revelation 21:3,4 - promises a beautiful future with no sickness and no death. Isaiah 33:24 - "No resident will say: "I am sick."" Sounds good to me.

I have faith that the Earth will always be here and be inhabited - 1 Chronicles 16:30; Psalm 37:29;

And that since it was God's will for man to live in peace and perfection on the earth, that in the future that's exactly what is going to happen. (Psalm 115:16)

When I'm in the shower, with hope.
When I'm on a bus, with fear.

I believe that to look to the future with fear is to give the devil what he wants. Fear breeds so many things that are not good. I once had a pastor that did nothing be preach of fear, whether it was hell fire and brimstone or what ever. I also had a pastor when I was growing up Herb Penry who always preached of love and acceptance. Guess who was the better preacher ,Penry was he was always happy and was very rarely sick The pastor that preached fear was always sick or ill with some pain or what ever. I often sat in his church and listened to his message and he seemed to fear the devil so much that he was giving the devil the upper hand. The way I see it if you want to go head to head with the devil then live your life in fear, because that is the devils playground. Live your life with hope and love and the devil can not handle that love and hope scares him because it is against his nature. When I pray I pray and give thanks for the things I have no matter how small or insignificant it is best to thank god for what he is doing or has done than it is to ask for things that he has not done he does thing in his time not ours always give thank and trust he will give you what you need

Definately with hope.

But that hasn't always been the case. I have feared a lot in my life, but there is hope in the truth. I have found and read a book explaining ALL of Revelation in detail. It has given me hope. It is titled "666, Mark of America."

I understand that it is MAN (us) that has messed up the earth, but that eventually, if we cannot fix it and our problems for ourselves, there IS hope in one who lives on another planet where peace and happiness is the norm (and who has much more wisdom, power, and knowledge than us), coming to this earth to save us from ourselves.

Yes, the Earth will always be here and be inhabited. But before there is worldwide peace, the "wrath of God" willl be upon us (which is nothing more or less than His non-intervention in our lives.)

Read the book and see for yourself. It is amazing, and brings much peace and hope. The book is free to download, or you can get a hard or softcover.

If your talking about Revelations then I look at it as something to look forward to. If your talking about the world and not heaven I still try to hold onto hope that the potential of this world and the people living here are not wasted.

i look to the future with hope because looking to it with fear is a waste of energy. bad things happen all the time but i can't spend my time being afraid of something that hasn't happen .

why do you assume scripture has anything to do with the way everybody looks to the future?

The future is unimportant to me, it's what I'm doing NOW to cultivate a wiser, altruistic, compassionate mind (or not) which is most important. If I fail now, what difference does the future make?

I need no scripture to have hope. I have no reason to fear the future.
