I have imported movies from my digital camera to Windows Movie Maker before and it has worked sucessfully, but This is the first time I've tried it with an actual video camera. For some reason, When I import the movies, there is no picture, and only sound. Why is this and How can I get the picture to work too? Any ideas would be great.

You need to use a Firewire connection. Most camcorders take still pictures and have USB connections for stills, but to download the movies, you need to have a Firewire cable IEEE-1394 (which usually isn't included with the camera)

Get ready to shell out another $25-$30...

Were you shooting video with the lens cap on?

Other than that, you don't give enough information. Only that you're using a 'real' video camera now? What were you using before... a picture of a camera? You need to say what your computer setup is, exactly, with version numbers and specs for the camera. Contact the camera manufacturer and find out if you need updated drivers or something like that... camera manufacturers are pretty good about this kind of thing lately.
