Yoga is an Eastern practice to quiet the mind. Hatha is physical, Bhakti is devotional, etc.

It's just a varied way of developing concentration.

No, yoga is not a religion. However, in Hindi there are four paths or life styles. Each one is refuted to as a Yoga. This is not the same as the exercise routines although to truly understand the exercise you should also understand that philosophy behind it.

No it's not a religion, it's a philosophy and exercise that eventually evolved FROM that philosophy. People who believe Eastern philosophies generally don't care what others think and don't usually try to "convert" since there's no point in it.

There are many types of YOGA. Yoga means union.
There are different paths (margas) of yoga that can be taken in order to reunite with the divine energy.

An active person can realize his divinity through work and duty (Karma),
a religious person through devotion (Bhakti),
an intellectual person through knowledge (Jnana), and
a meditative/reflective person through Raja Yoga.
