Nobody knows when Jesus will return. After He does there is a period of horrible turmoil for those on earth that did not ascend into heaven.
The Book of Revelation in the Bible describes what the end times will be like, but even Bible scholars can't predict when and what exactly will happen.

The world will always be here but if you want to count the day that it will be transformed into a NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH, I can help you with that.
The answer is 1007 years after millions of Christians disappear. fake Christians will be left behind and will know exactly what to expect. Terror! According to the bible millions of Christians will disappear and three and a half years after that point the world will be united into one common community under one leader, one government, and one bank. The leader will start off good but right at that three and a half year point he will start killing people who have not joined "the community". Soon after that he will force everyone in the world to follow him and most will. He will be the most effective speaker the world has ever known and he will be able to speak every language and do all kinds of miracles like Jesus did, even raise himself from the dead.
After he raises himself from the dead people will worship him and this won't sit well with The Fake Christians who no doubt will become real Christians along with a host of people who were witness to millions of real Christian people disappearing. People who aren't Christian will say the obvious, Ailians took all those people. Imagine every wicked act possible including demons walking around torturing people and every disease and curse the world has ever known, throw in every major natural catastrophic disaster and double it, then you will have a taste of what is going to happen during that seven year period. Then Jesus comes back. Takes all the people that served him during the seven years and throws everyone else into the lake of fire.. Not pleasant, but don't kill the messenger, you asked a big question.. This might sound confusing but its the final portion of your answer. After Jesus throws everyone in the lake of fire he doesn't kill the devil, he throws him in a pit for a thousand years. After the thousand years he lets the devil out to test the people who remained on the earth. The ones that didn't get thrown in the lake of fire.
Some people who grew up during this thousand years, will be people who have never herd of death. Many of them, like people now, will not be so pleased with this god on earth who they have had to serve their whole lives. When the devil is released he will have no trouble convincing these immortal beings that they can take god down. They try, they fail, and god finally throws the devil into the lake of fire where everyone els who decided not to serve the lord had already been. Then god creates a new Heaven and a new Earth to live with men for all eternity... 1007 years from the time that millions of people disappear.
So, now if this happens you will know what is going on. I plan on being a real Christian, and not one of those left behind..

When the sun turns into a red giant, billions of years from now.
Of course, that is just the Earth. Humanity may end sooner, through war, disease, climatic catastrophe, or if an asteroid or comet finishes us off. Humanity may also survive the end of the Earth if we have migrated to other planetary systems by then.
You can read all about it in many science books and magazines.

The world is not going to end - i.e. be destroyed, but instead there will be God's war with Satan called in the Bible -Armageddon. God will destroy those opposed to him and save those who are his people.
Isaiah 37:29 - "Â The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it."

The world is not going to end how the christians say so. It will just end naturally. The universe will end at one time though and be rebuilt again. Amun (in Hinduism Vishnu) will be there still to rebuild it because he is EVERYTHING, a few other gods will be saved though (like maat) but even other gods will die and new ones will be created.

I think I would confine my worry to The United States of America if I were an American. Which I am. If we don't fight back against the foreign dictators who lust after our country, and who are using the concept of 'Free Trade' to destroy us; we're all dead...

I don't know when. The bible says it will melt with a fervent heat. Doesn't sound good. There will however, be a new heaven and a new earth. Only those who accept Christ as savior.....will see it.

It will end on Sunday at 13:07pm when a large blue rabbit will descend from the sky and zap everything with its death ray. Only the Saved will survive. You can be Saved by eating six packets of Tim Tams for breakfast tomorrow.
