This is a fairly new therapy. Eye movement desensitization and reprossessing helps in many areas. I recommend you go to

My EMDR experience was rapid and positive. It only took one session.

Sitting very still, my eyes followed the blinking lights on the lightbox move from left to right to left.

As I was asked questions, I would respond, then add to my answers whatever came to mind.

Due to trauma, I had not dreamed at night in 15 yrs. Following the EMDR session, my dreaming returned to a normal pattern.

I also found that I was less upset and more able to address my duties in life.

I found it very difficult and emotionally draining. Make sure you are REALLY ready to heal before you jump into an EMDR session. I was NOT ready and was unable to continue the therapy. :(

Eye movement desensitizing reprogramming is very beneficial in PTSD. I also like it for grief management.
