I have been shooting SKSs since the 1980s and have yet to see a worn out receiver. Barrels, yes, but not the receiver.

Could you please go in to some more detail for us?

According to US law, the receiver is actually the firearm. You can take off any other piece.....change it, sell it, mail it, etc. but the receiver is the legal part that's the firearm. At the prices they sell for, you may as well buy a new SKS.

EDIT: Do you mean "receiver cover"? That's different....you can get those lots of places, or just refinish yours.

You should see if the Smithsonian would accept your SKS as a donation; you can write it off on taxes. I have never seen one that the receiver is worn out on. In any case; don't bother trying to find a replacement as it would be cost prohibitive. Just pony up for a new SKS as they are still very inexpensive and totally reliable.

The SKS is a fairly inexpensive rifle and it would probably be a better idea just to get a new one since the reciever is basically "the gun" and it needs to be registered. There are some parts available at Bushmaster.com, but those are mostly stocks and accessories.
