find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Diet is the central factor in your goal. Eat lots of lean protien and vegetables, minus any high fat/high calorie toppings. Stay away from empty carbohydrates and calories. If you drink milk, be sure it's skim. Whenever you have an urge to eat something unhealthy, drink a protein shake instead. There are two great protein shake powders I've found. Met-RX protein plus in chocolate or vanilla flavor (you can buy at Trader Joe's or look at their website for other stores). Also EAS Advant Edge soy protein in chocolate or vanilla flavor (you can get it at any Wal-mart) You can mix either of these with a simple plastic shaker container. Use water or skim milk to mix. The protein will satisfy your appetite for hours and support your muscles in burning more calories. You can also use these shakes as a meal replacement, just take a multi-vitamin so you get all the nutrients you need. Replace carbs with these shakes whenever you crave carbs.
The other half of your battle is simple exercise. You don't have to run or lift weights or join a fitness center full of knuckleheads. Walk briskly for an hour every day, preferably outdoors. Then go home and do 2 or 3 sets of 50 ab crunches, use weights for added resistance. Then do 2 or 3 sets of push-ups, as many as you can stand. Also throw in some bicep curls or pull-ups and there you have it, a simple and very effective plan to achieve your goal. Make it your lifestyle every day and you'll keep the weight off. Discovering how much better you feel and look should be all the motivation you need. You don't need to spend lots of money or hire some joker at a gym. You and you alone have the power to change you.

hm...lets see here...
when you'd like to loose weight you should work on excersizing more and also at the same time eating right.

first starting with a healthy way of eating...
fruits...veggys. chicken. you can find stuff online for healthy meals.

then....for excersizing...
running everyday is great for your body...it works off alot of calories that you eat everyday...
start with half mile...then go to a mile...then maybe 2 or 3..
about targeting your legs and arms...work out...
bench press....leg work outs. squats...[running tones the legs rlly good] and just when your walking around the house get a 5 or 10 pound weight and just lift it...
theres so many other ways...
i hope i helped!

Eat 4 to 6 meals a day at 200 to 300 calories each. Eat breakfast within an hour of waking up. Don't eat dinner within 3 hours of going to bed. Spend 2 to 3 hours doing fat burning exercises (walking, Dance Dance Revolution, etc).

Increasing your metabolism while burning calories is the way to go.

Eat less, or exercise more.

Or, eat less AND exercise more, and you will lose weight even faster!

80% weight loss is diet, 20% is exercise, if you're over about 30.
