I was just wondering if anyone had any good idea's for something quick cheap and inexpensive as possible for a fund raiser. We have people doing donations of money so what would be a good idea.

There are going to be several local bands playing to help raise money and we would like to have a food stand up to help raise more money. What would be a quick easy food to do. Hot dogs are great I know but can you guys give me some more ideas???? Anything would help!

This time of year you can't go wrong with hot dogs. Everybody loves nachos too. Offer chips, chopped onions and chili (from large cans) to go with the hot dogs, and off brand soft drinks and bottled water.

Considering what you're planning to do, you will probably be able to get a grocery store (or two) to donate the food. Just hand-carry letters requesting specific food donations for the event to the store managers. One for the hot dogs and buns, and some sodas, and one for nacho makings, chips & chili. You may not get all that you asked for, but chances are you'll get something and every little bit helps. It is important to hand-carry the letter because most stores take requests for donations way in advance. Be sure to follow up and write thank you letters immediately.

The hot dogs will go over great.Nachos are a great seller. On the desserts, take and get people to make cupcakes and donate.Wrap them in cellophane. Also take some fresh baked(or bought) cookies and put them in baggies. When people are walking around they want to be able to eat and walk without worrying about any spills.Cheap and a donation bucket is always the way to go.I have been to several fund raisers now days that have a silent auction.Fun.Good luck with the sale and make that money...

Rice krispy treats are inexpesive, good sellers, and easy to make. You can get HUMONGOUS boxes of rice krispies on the cheap at places like BJ's or Sam's club.

Another, easy-to-make, good seller are stretchy bracelets. You can get stretchy cord, GS hypo-cement (put it on the knots) and inexpensive glass beads from craft stores like Michaels. If you get the alphabet beads, you could make them band-specific (i.e., put the band name, in alphabet beads, into a stretchy bracelet).

Good luck on your fundraiser!

Some other thoughts:
Pancakes (if breakfast-time)

Things you can cook a lot of at once:
Spaghetti / ziti
Chili
Stuffed baked potatoes

Ice cream and watermelon are good if it's gonna be hot.

Funnel cakes are easy to make. Or you could just have a bake sale, either way. Tacos are also quick and easy, or burritos.

There's a reason every movie theater sells popcorn--costs next to nothing and people buy it up. You can rent a popcorn maker at most rent everything stores or party stores.
