I think that depends on whether they are bought here, or like most people that smoke do.....bought in Europe for a quarter of the price here!
Fact is I'm not sure anybody still buys cigarettes in the UK!

i pay £4.50 for 50 g tobacco or £3.00 for 20 cigarettes....duty free !!!! isnt it so strange how they can make the stuff in the UK export to france/ spain or poland and then after all those export costs someone can bring them back to the UK sell them half price and still double their money.. one of my neighbours sells the cheap duty free NOT FAKES
( and has done for years ) and she has ques longer than the local dentist waiting list for NHS treatment

There is tons of tax on cancer sticks over there. Some are like 10 dollars! (5 pounds) it's ridiculous...but people will pay anything for a miraculous life-shortening treatment....

Obviously not enough, as people can still afford to buy'em. I'm sure a lot more people would be fitter & healthier if they cost £50 a pack ! because not as many people would buy'em ! Shorter waiting times at the hospital for op's ! More beds available at the hospitals with less smoking related illness's
.... oops I'm strating to ramble on but in answer to your question, sorry I dont smoke so I wouldn't know.
