So anyway after the police left I decided the best way for me to get out of there was to piss off the other mental patients so they would be more likely to attack the staff and lie to the doctors. This worked so well and I highly recommend it to anyone else who has this problem, but I feel a little bad about it.

charge me all you like, I'll do the same thing in jail. See how far we can take this.

I used to work inpatient. Watched someone like you cause a riot that resulted in a death. Aren't you a great man. By the way, you can expect a contempt charge since you were not compliant. Just pray they don't send to jail on the side that holds the unstable.

This is not very realistic. If this did happen you hurt a lot of people and just hurt yourself worse. The police will come looking for you because now you will now have a warrant out for your arrest for going against a court order and no telling what else depending on what happened at the hospital and you could go away to an Institution for awhile or even jail for quite some time. You should have just followed the court order. It was obviously handed out to you for good reason. I hope you will handle your next situation better and take responsibility for your actions and yourself~

Why would you do this? A lot of people are in there because they want or need to get better. The mental ward is not for fun and games but in order to get better. The staff at mental wards do the best that they can. If you think thats cool Im sorry but its not. If I was there I would have shown you a thing or two.

You should feel more than "a little bad" about it. You may not have wanted the help they were trying to give you, but other people may have and you may have caused a serious backslide in their progress. By the way, you seem to have a sociopathic personality, so you needed to be there.

not really sure what the question was but the best way to get out of a psych unit is to comply. once you're out they can't touch you unless you become a danger to yourself or others.
