I don't think this is just a problem for females but yes, I too over think many things, balancing the pros and cons, wanting no surprises. As long as in the end you get the job done, it is not that bad of a trait.

You do not need to act like every other girls; you can act better. God loves you, and you are precious to Him. Jesus died on the Cross on our behalf, to save us from sin and qualifying us to Heaven. This life is so short and uncertain. Heaven is wonderful beyond description, eternal without end.
With God's love in your heart, you will be a wonderful loving person. People will be naturally attracted to you with your kindness. Best wishes for happiness and Heaven!

No, I'm more likely to use my intuition which seems to be fairly common. Unless you're talking about social situations, in which case, we're all screwed. :)
