There is no 'nomal' behavior when it comes to cats! But yes, headbutting is a 'normal' way of showing affection.

Yes it is normal. First your kitty is putting his/her scent on you so that everyone knows that you belong to him/her. Secondly if you watch a group of friendly cats you will see that they do this to eachother, they rub their heads on you also to say hello. Your kitty most likely wants you to rub heads with him/her so next time go right ahead and rub heads. Good luck.

Just his way of getting your attention, saying "Hey, hey, I'm here! Stop what you're doing and pay attention to me - the center of your universe!" It is such a cat thing to do, especially a boy cat.

This is just a way of affection. He is trying to get your attention to pet him. One of my cats, Oreo, does this too. And if you make kissing noises he will even headbutt you to give you a kiss.

HAHA! My boy cat does too! But the other post was right...he is marking his territory, but he also is trying to get your attention when you are focused on other things. (My girl cat will just plop down on whatever I am reading as her way of saying.."Hey you..Yeah you! Love me damnit!" )
LOL...Just pet him...you are the greatest thing in his fuzzy little life! =)

He wants your attention and cats also use their face to mark things. He is marking you as his! Cats are funny and fun to have around.
