its all depends

running will help you lose fat - so if you have extra fat on your thighs, it will help you lose that. If your thighs are muscular, it wont help as much.

running a mile every day is a good start, but it wont help you lose weight and fat unless you also cut down on your caloric intake. it should be part of an overall health plan. with the proper diet, running 30 minutes a day can help you lose 2-4 pounds a week, which is a safe, healthy range.

You already have some good answers Nikkyy, but regardless of whether your thighs slim or not, they will surely become more muscular and toned. But even better than that is the cardio improvement and health that come along with any hard physical exercise. Surely, others will notice before you do anyway.

I always suggest people do cardio for an hour a day, even if you walk most of the time. Reason is, the body doesn't burn fat until after 30 minutes of regular aerobic exercise. Pay attention to your diet also.

It will usually add muscle to your thighs. If you have fat, that will probably be burned away. If you run a mile every day, you might see significant results in a month or so. Actually that was running every day on weekdays so maybe 3-4 weeks?
