Please could someone explain why a woman gets a bit grumpy and emotional during their monthlys. I have tried to explain this to him but he still does not understand that all i need is a cuddle, not a full blown row.

Hormones. Hormones. Hormones. That's all a person of average intelligence needs to hear. Women want what they want for about a week out of the month. (And it really isn't too much to ask if you're really paying attention.) Sometimes it's sugar, sometimes it's salt - most of the time it's chocolate. Sometimes we fight, sometimes we cry... but all we want is to know that we are loved even though we are bloated, irritable or extra mellow (just wanting to be held close). The best way to handle it is to ASK..........

Sounds like he really doesn't want to know what's going on with you at that time of the month, he'd be a helluva lot more sympathetic if it happened to him!

Have you told him that part of the problem is that the uterus expands and contracts in order to loosen the lining? This is where most of the cramps come from.

Poor you. I had a bloke like that once, he didn't last long with me. He didn't get it that being sympathetic to me at that time didn't lessen his masculinity ... I now have one who is great when I've got the monthly blues, and he is naturally macho!

If this guy doesn't learn to be nice, get rid of him. There are plenty of better ones out there.

Instead of telling him or him finding out,you simply go to him, feet up together, and give him a cuddle and a kiss, nothing need be said.a man can,t understand this time of month,it,s the hormones too, they don,t suffer anything like it in their lives, what i will say though love,he did or does have a mother, you don,t know what she was like,a lot of could have suffered at ther mothers hands at that time of month,so they,ll associate it with them, they,re not always to blame,i,m sure you,ll have some nice cuddles in the future months.

Men will never understand. You can talk till your blue in the face a man will always think that you are a moody cow and you should feel sorry for him for putting up with you. You could buy him a book with pictures maybe that will help! Or explain like this-If you saw me with another man in a pub laughing and flicking my hair, the man has his hand on my shoulder, he wispers in my ear- How would you feel? Well thats how I feel every month but with horrible stomach pains aswell. That would be on his wave length!

It's hormones. And in reference to an earlier comment, it is actually the best time for sex. Sexual intercourse relaxes a woman and relieves cramps(if your guy can tolerate the messiness). Think about it girl, nothing feels better than a orgasm!

If he does not get it, then he is not adult enough to have sex. You can tell him I told you that too.
