No, a lot of people make fun of Scientology too. And Islam. And essentially, any religion they don't like. There's a big difference between what people say they believe about religious bigotry, and how they actually behave.

I have been LDS all my life. The only place that I have really noticed 'anti-mormon' anything, is actually right here. I live up in Canada, in a place where there are not a lot of members, but I have always been treated with respect. I have a lot of open discussions with all the people I know about religion, and I like the open-mindedness that I have always encountered. I think that seeing it so prominent here is funny, because people are anonymous here, and so have the courage to be rude and hateful.

Bigotry was promoted by the LDS church. I suppose their getting their due. Until coerced into recognizing equal rights for blacks in the 1960's, they promoted the idea that blacks were an inferior race.
There's really not much about the LDS church that's laudable, especially when compared to the harm it's done.
Of course, the same holds true of other religions.

I have to agree with Kelsey that it's probably one of a handful of religions that it seems to be "okay" with. I mean that culturally speaking, not morally speaking - morally speaking it's never okay with any religion.
