I really need to know- how come some people think that abortion is better than adoption- first of all abortion is choosing death for the baby, and adoption is life- I can imagine that it is very difficult to place a child for adoption- but I am thankful that my birth mom did that for me. Also I have 2 adopted kids myself who have 2 very precious birth moms who chose life for them. What I really do not understand is this- "because there are many children who are stuck in the foster care system, it is better to abort, then for these kids to know that they were not wanted." Wait a minute- there are ways to make sure your baby is adopted, I know we went in that direction when we adopted- Don't you realize that the one who did not want the child was the one that aborted? I know that sometimes there is a lot of red tape to go through for adoption- that is not good, however, that still does not make abortion ok- I am writing this praising God for life.

so Zero Cool- you are God and know how long the baby is going to survive outside the womb? And even if you could know that how could you take the life of the child anyway? I would want to remember holding my child even if it was for only a few hours or days.

you are right, both abortion and adoption is a choice- one is a choice for life and the other is a choice for death. God said, "CHOOSE LIFE"

I know a few women that were in that place- their drs. told them they could lose their life if they carried their babies to term- and you know what? The women decided to take the chance and carry their children to term, and all survived and they have beautiful babies.

if my birth mom did not have an "unwanted" pregnancy, I would not be here. By the way we need to change that word from unwanted to unexpected.

Life is precious!
I know so, because I have lost a child!
I wonder HOW people can CHOOSE 'death' for their child.
When I was carrying my children, I knew something wonderful had been knit together im my womb.
How can anyone CHOOSE to DESTROY such?

I'm sorry you have had negative experiences with being adopted. I was adopted too and really can't say I feel the same. I think when people make comments like, "Just have it and put it up for adoption," they minimize and dismiss the feelings of the mother carrying the baby. So, I don't care for that either. On the other hand, I don't think that people who aren't able to care in the way they want to for children should be raising them. It's bad parenting waiting to happen. And, I'm not in favor of abortion either. I guess in my opinion, adoption is really the best option for some people. It's not very often that I get to hear the other side of the story (yours) though I know it happens. It really makes me think. I wonder what we, as a society, can do to fix this problem. Every person deserves a loving family.

I understand that people do have the right to choose whichever option their conscious can live with... Life is about choices.
For myself, there is no question. EVERY Life is precious and has a right to be here on this planet. I have no children ( I am 36) and have tried for years. Adoption has always been an option for us, regardless of whether we could conceive our own.
I shudder to think of the possibilities that have been lost due to abortion. How many future peace-makers, brilliant scientists, poets, musicians, etc, have never gotten the chance?

loved your speech! I am also glad you were born, otherwise i would never have been impressed by your words! Truth is,,,,we didn't seem to have so many abortion issues until society came up with advanced technology in the area of so-called Safe Sex? along with that , society found it necessary to have Sex Education classes in lower schools! Sex in Teen Magazines, and Sex in to days songs, and on TV! As a society that approves of Abortions, then why are some States still opposing the Death Penalty for Cold Blooded Killers, yet allowing day to day Abortions? If you think about it,, they have actually Aborted a whole Generation! To me, its an American Holocaust! As for those who preach Freedom of Choice, If given the choice of Life or Death for them selves how would they choose?????
And I do not believe in the inconvienance of having a baby. Its supposed to be a blessing! Since when are children a thing of afordability, and classified as convienient or not?
In the event that a white woman carries a black baby, society wants to show compassion in saying Its not the Childs Fault!
If society can reley that message to a child of mixed race, then what message does society have to reley to an aborted child??? Christians await the second coming of Christ, not so? If Jesus was born back then, then why wouldnt he be born once more in todays world? Why isnt he hear yet? maby because we have Aborted him? All the Christians who have voted for Abortion on a Freedom of Choice Issue may need to think about that? Bless you,,, and welcome to Life on Earth!!

Adoption is always best. Abortion is unamerican. constitionally all have the right to life, liberity and the pursuit of happiness. The declartion says we are all equal. Life starts where in the womb or out. the abortionists have to convinece themselves that it starts outside the womb. We know that it starts with conception, the heartbeat, the formation withing the womb. These are two people ... two "men" if you will created equally (as in "we believe these truths to be self-eveident that all men are created equal). They only way taht someone could be for aboprtion is to convincethemselves that the child, the embryo the fetus is not alive. This is of course ridculous. They should not be ridculed though but pitied. abortion is sad and tragic, and the issue has ripped this country apart. To the point that the democratic party is no longer what it was the party of civil rights, what about the civil rights of those humans who are to helpless to defend themselves or speak for themselves or stqand up for themselves yet they are alive none the less. As americans we have a tradition of helping and commint othe aid of all humans. the civil war ridded us of slavery, it has taken centuries to right wrongs to native americans. The democratic party instead of standin up for the rights of those who are missguided sexually, they should be protecting and defending the civil rights of those human beings who happen to be housed in the womb. I am a democrat and I am for civil rights. I am not happy that my party has been hi-jacked from people like Robert Kennnedy and Tip O'neil by people who are not quailied to be their pages.

This is a topic that's very close to my heart -- and not just because I had a baby at age 17 who was adopted by a wonderful family, although that is a main reason.
Obviously, as you put so well, anything is better than killing a baby in his/her mother's womb.
Some people, of course, don't see it that way. And it's too bad. In fact, it's tragic.
Abortion, as Mother Theresa said in the presence of then-President Clinton, has morally deformed our great country. The USA has the most liberal abortion laws in the world, and that's a national disgrace.

As a parent of 3 adopted special needs children, I can tell you that people simply don't go for adoption.
There are, generally speaking, certain kids who get adopted while the majority wait for families. The more involved their needs, the more likely they are gonna wait and wait and wait and wait....
Adoption is a wonderful solution that we already have in place. The problem is, people aren't doing it.

Nearly 50 millions babies have been sacrificed to the god of "pro-choice" since it became legal to kill an unborn child.
Satan knows the time is short and he is desperate to take as many souls with him as he can. Someone will have to answer to God for all these abominable sacrifices.
Time to choose sides. Judgment is coming.

-There are plenty of children in the world that could be adopted and aren't. Take care of them first. That's nothing to do with whether or not you know whether the infant you birthed has been adopted and everything to do with a surplus of unwanted BORN children.
-Why should a woman have to subject herself to 9 months of pregnancy if she doesn't want to? Simple: she shouldn't.
-Abortion is physically safer than pregnancy and childbirth.
-Clump of cells vs. born woman... Hmm... Let's think for a second. Yes, I'd say that born, grown women take priority.
All of that said, contraception is clearly better than EITHER abortion or adoption. Better to have no unwanted pregnancy to begin with. Unfortunately, it fails sometimes; even more unfortunately, it's not used as often as it should be.
And by the way, the Bible says nothing about abortion.
ETA: AdoreHim, you seem to be confused about the difference between "unplanned" and "unwanted" pregnancies. My little brother was unplanned, too, but once pregnant, my mother wanted him. If she hadn't wanted him, I wouldn't have a little brother.

Hello AdoreHIm,
You are absolutely correct! Many who believe in abortion are those who refuse to read and study GOD's WORD and do not care for anyone but themselves or they are ignorant politicians attempting to get VOTES! Have a wonderful week.
Thank you,
Eds, Christian
