In a relationship, if the woman says "I love you" first and the man responds "I love you too" does it really matter who said it first?

Absolutely not, I had to tell my husband first when we were dating. I think it has to do with the right moment, not who says what. If you are comfortable enough with the other person to say it, you should feel free to do so. (of course, being his wife now, I have to tease him about it!!! It is a fun subject around our house)

yeah,i think so because we as women are usually more emotionally involved and engrossed in a newer relationship so if we,being the usual one to love first, say i love you first we have no way of truly knowing if the man is simply following our lead and responding the way he feels he's "supposed to".
where,if he says it first(and not for sex)it would appear far more genuine since they don't "love" as easy as we do at times.

Honey, You need to know there are different levels of love ! We all have things we love but we are not "in" love with. Those two little letters can make all the difference in the world ! When you are he first to say it,it is very scary !

It doesnt matter really, but if a man says it first I personally think its more special because women tend to fall faster then men

I think it is better for the male to say it first. Women usually feel love first and if she says it first , the guy might say it because she said it. But if the guy says it first, them there is no dought he means it.

It never matters who said it first. It only matters if one person says it and the other doesn't reciprocate. OUCH!

not really but sometimes it really shouldn't be said at all it is better to feel that someone loves you then to have that person say it and not mean it. i tend to dump guys who say that to me because if i can't see it and feel it for myself that they feel this way then why bother with someone who just tells everyone that they meet this .

a bit, i suppose, because the woman has put herself out on a limb, with the risk of the man saying "mmmm"
