His salary will increase after perm hiring? Does anyone know how their payscale is? He will be in assembly.

The company has a very good reputation in our town. They are only 4 miles from our house, and that's great for gas prices! They employ about 85 people.

Well the temp agency gets a cut, so even if his salary were increased the company would still be saving money. That being said, there isn't much room to wiggle. They pretty much assign a wage to a job, take it or leave it.

Most of the time there is a raise when you "convert" to a regular position.
How much varies a lot - but I would expect at least $1/hr raise. (Plus, he'd be eligible for benefits - something he isn't as a temp.)
