He was a drug dealer,
How else does someone make people think they've seen him walk on water, and make blind people see they were hallucinating? Ah...Yes.

Jesus was not a carpenter, if you read the Gospel of Marks you will know that it is not what he did...
It portrays Jesus as an exorcist, a healer and miracle worker, the Christ, the Son of Man, and a few times as the Son of God.
Two important themes of Mark are the Messianic secret and the obtuseness of the disciples. In Mark, Jesus is not generally recognized as the Son of God, except by demons (whom he commands to silence) and at his death. Jesus uses parables to teach spiritual lessons in terms that people could identify with. At times, the disciples have trouble understanding the parables, but Jesus explains what they mean, in secret (4:10-12, 4:33-34). They also fail to understand the implication of the miracles that he performs before them.
Mark usually appears second in the New Testament after the Gospel of Matthew and traditionally Matthew was thought to be the first gospel to be composed with Mark the second. However most contemporary scholars date Mark to the late 60s or the early 70s, and, contrary to the traditional view, regard it as the earliest of the canonical gospels, and a source for material in the other synoptic

During a trip to Jerusalem while still a child, he was found to be missing upon the return trip. He was found in the temple discussing scriptures with rabbi. This in itself is an astounding feat for it's day, given the perception that the Pharisees and Sadducee had for themselves as being 'holier than thou'. He must have known his stuff.
Apparently, although he did assist Joseph with wood working duties, he continued to teach and discuss the scriptures in Nazareth until the first miracle of water to wine.
He was recognised by his first disciples as 'master' and as 'Rabbi' (teacher) though out the rest of his ministries.
He never really owned any possessions that we can identify though scripture, indicating that if he did have a practising trade outside of the ministry, it certainly wasn't profitable.
What was his 'real' job?
Was he really ever a carpenter by trade?
Perhaps he was, and through the pages of the new testament, continues to be, Rabbi.

The Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God worked as a carpenter. He would have been physically strong, and should not be portrayed as a weak person. He however had a greater vocation, and that was to die for the sins of the Elect. Praise be to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit

I haven't seen where he retired from it, but at the same time as much as he traveled I hardly think he was still an active Carpenter.
I think during the time of his life that is presented in the gospels his carpenter days were behind him.

Jesus was a carpenter. I am not sure, but I think that was until he was about 30 when he started to teach. But he will always be know that he was a carpenter.
Given what he taught and how he felt about people he was a Liberal in his points of view.

Jesus was made up by the great great great great grand dad of J K R. He was almost called Harry but the writer drooped a hammer on his foot and he shouted Jesus which seemed like a sign. As for real job well he was a drunken witch rising up from the dead on a broom stick of light.
