Speed walking is actually better for you. It's not as hard on your joints.Be sure to swing your arms and you can even carry small arm weights to help build a bit of muscle..

I think so ........... as long as you're walking fast enough for 20 of those minutes that your heart rate is increased and stays up. Don't forget to do warm up and cool down stretches.
Most Drs agree that 20 mins of increased cardio 4 or more times a week can be very helpful in weight loss. Don't get discouraged if the weight doesn't fall off immediately the slower you lose weight the more likely you are to keep it off. Hope this helped.

Absolutley! I have been walking at least 2 miles 5 days a week for a month and have lost 6 pounds without changing anything else about my lifestyle. I used to try to run but I have bad knees and I get shin splints, so walking is a lot easier on your body. So Happy Walking!!!

Yes! Walking can do just about the same as if you were running. Running can be really bad on your knees and depending on if your athletic and in sports you may want to walk instead because your knees will last a LOT longer! Try it and if it doesn't work get a professional trainer.

Absolutely! Speed walking is still physical activity and I might add alot less wear and tear on your joints. The question is how much you would like to loose and whether you are adjusting you the amount of calories you are consuming to achieve the results desired.
Remember to loose weight you need to consume less calories than you burn. There are several weight loss websites out there you can join, where you can track calories consumed and calories burned by activity.

Best of luck to ya!

Way more then 25 min, but power walk and put ankle weights on, no more then 5 pounds per leg. That will help a lot, also use dumbells, that way you're toning your arms as well.

yeh it's possible, but it'd probably take quite a long time to see any visible difference, whereas if you did about 1hr a day you'd lose significant amounts of weight.
When I was driving home, I used to see these fat women 'power walking' every day at the same time for a couple of months, and my god did I see the difference in their weight!

You can lose weight by typing, ANY movement will help you lose weight, maybe not significantly but it helps.

25 minutes will help but not as much as an hour, try an hour.
