Plus like just a girlfriend that you can chill with and have a good conversation. I like a girlfriend that I can act and be like a friend.

My boyfriend does it once in a while by accident and it drives me nuts. Im a lady and if you're going to be hanging around me then you better recognize that. "Dude" is just disrespectful so yeahhh I wouldnt do it, especially if it is intentional.

A prissy girl would probably get offended by being called dude. I get called dude by guys all the time - but that's because I hang out like a guy. It's flattering to be a cool hot chick that the guys are so comfortable with that they can call you dude.

Even if you've dating a girl for a long time and feel totally comfortable with her, don't call her dude! She'll feel that she's no more special than the friend next door. Call her sweet names, that sets a difference on how you treat her and the rest of the people...

I have friends who have female friends whom they can call "dude" and all that, and so do I, but I do notice something different in the way that I interact and how I perceive these women. On some level, I think that maybe I don't respect them, as much as my other female friends I wouldn't speak that way with.

I think calling a woman "dude" causes her to lose some of her.."femininity" let's say. It brings a woman down from her inherently elegant state to a commoner level.

Just my opinion though...

Some women may take offense at being called dude because dude is generally a word used for guys. I wouldnt mind if I was called dude but thats just me.

Please be a gentleman!

"Dude" is for guy friends, not girl friends. Brush up on your grammer dude.

Have you ever heard the phrase "Treat her Like a Lady"??

It might be cool for you, but it may make your girl think (to herself) who raised this boy?

My suggestion would be if you really care for her, call her "sweetheart" or "baby". If she's not too important, call her "dude".

Good Luck

My husband calls me dude all the time. I get back at him by calling him a dudette. Usually, he tends to stop after that. Haha. It's all just fun and games.

A no-no for me. We aren't even dudes!!! Sayin' dudes to us, is like insulting us and saying were insane. That's just how I take it. Pretend you're a girl and I just walk up to you and say "Dude!!!"
