There is a Maintenance category under Transportation. They know more about cars than most of us hanging out in Taxes.

Not a tax question. Repost in Cars & Transportation. But an 81? Time for the boneyard.

Catalitic Converter...?? 81?? oh probably about 400.00 or 600.00 if its the transmission 600.00 -- and up from there.
If it were me, I'd just re-adjust the ajustment on the Catalitic Converter,,,,, if its getting hot and try changing the transmission fluid,,,,and sell it "AS IS" and quickly, before you or the little wife, gets in a wreck with it,,,,,hurting her or others out there on the road. If it were me....?? I'd get rid of it, and own something way safer. AND:
GOOD LUCK !!!!!

AN 81? You need to get a new freaking car. It's not going to last forever you know.

Buy a new car. Or, buy a newer used car.
