If so, how fast were you going and how much was the ticket?

There is no way to list a set amount for traffic citations statewide for California because fines for traffic citations are jurisdictional. The state creates a list called the "Uniform Bail and Penalty Schedule" that has recommendations for fines and penalties for various offenses. Then, judges in each county modify the fines as they see fit to apply to their jurisdiction.

In other words, you can get a ticket for the same offense in two different counties and the fines will be completely different.

You may refer to the "Barstow Bail and Penalty Schedule" on the internet and research the exact offense code of which you were cited and see that a basic speeding ticket appears to be about $150.00.
