I take Lamictal. I think it's a very good mood stabilizer. I don't experience many side effects either. The only thing, it can be very expensive, depending on your insurance. There is not any generic brand for Lamictal. Also, as I'm sure your prescribing doctor has told you, it's very important to tell her or him right away if you experience a rash, which can be very serious. I didn't have any rash. I'm very happy on it. I hope this has helped.

I was prescribed lamictal as a mood stabilizer for my depression, although I am not bipolar. It worked well for me, but everyone is different and it may or may not work for you depending on your body type and/or metabolism.
This link may give you some help, actual feedback from over 600 people who used lamictal.

I have been taking Lamictal for bipolar for the last week, i think it has been working for me no side effects yet, but everyone is different. if you get a rash contact your doctor immediately since that can be very dangerous. My doctor just increased my dosage 100mg a day from 50mg a day. hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!

Lamictal seems to be pretty effective at stabliizing mood. It has gained popularity lately, but is still not as popular as Depakote.
