If you enter Mexico illegally, you had better be prepared to stay there awhile because you won't be entering the US from the Mexico side of the Border if you don't look or act like an American! If you aren't a Mexican Citizen, then you can't demand anything. If you are female, then you will be in for a rude awakening of the flesh trade that you might find yourself trapped in.

No, but if 11 million of us did, then we should. Clearly, it would have been the unofficial policy of the govt to welcome us if so many of us were able to get in.
Added: ProUSA2 (see below), the school of logic I graduated from is called real life. The US govt needs to take some responsibility for not enforcing the law... and not just the benefits of exploiting workers at low prices who are too scared to rock the boat.
So...by your example, if the bank left its doors wide open and happened to get robbed I'd have little sympathy for the bank. It shirked its duty of vigilance.

My nephew went to mexico with some friends and they had to give the "cops" all their money,clothes and shoes or they were going to be put in jail. Why doesnt our goverment pay the illegal to stay in their own country?

I wouldn't want to do that. That would be very foolish. They hate Americans and you would be killed. Or.....thrown down a hole for God knows how long. An old friend of mine got caught over there with drugs and they put her in a hole in the ground for 6 months with absolutely nothing. Not even a toilet. Can you imagine? It messed her up for life. It drove her insane.
