Some of my friends have it and they said it killed i really want to get one

i got my left ear pierced in the cartilage area. it hurt like a normal piercing, maybe a little less. but like all pain you forget it in a matter of days. it's hard to sleep on that side for a while and big earings will always be bothersome. it's not harder to clean, it's the same... but it is riskier to get an infection and usually these are more serious than normal ear piercings. i say this because my sister's piercing got infected and the doctor said that any more time and some extreme measures like loosing an ear are a possibility.

It depends on what "cartilage" you are piercing. My ear cartilage hurt mainly after they did it..it was just sore like any other piercing. I also had my nose done and it just felt like someone punched me in the nose for a second....brought tears to my eyes! But it is worth it if you want it done...the pain doesn't last very long!

getting anything pierced hurts, especially cartilage because it'll never close up.

It's not that bad. I flinched a little. My brother jumped. It just takes longer to heal and that is what hurts. Also you can't really sleep on that ear without it hurting.

Yes it hurts, but nothing a normal person can't handle. If you want it, go for it! As long as you clean it good and take care of it you'll love it.

it does. if you are make sure that you get the ear peirced that you dont sleep on. and hopefully it will be the left ear you get peirced, that means you are straight. right means gay.
my sister got it done last summer, say beginning of july? and it still hurts.
it is also a lot harder to keep clean.
