Is it just me or is completely wrong from Biblical point of view. The Bible, Torah and the Koran all prohibit this. So, what arguments do gay preachers use to justify their position to be a preacher or rabbi?
The Torah states in Leviticus 18:22, “You shall not lie with a man as one lies with a woman, it is an abomination.”
The Torah states in Leviticus 20:13 “A man who lies with a man as one lies with a woman, they have both done an abomination. They shall be put to death; their blood is upon themselves.”
I think that preachers and rabbis should set an example of how society should behave itself. By being homosexual lay leaders I think you both mocking the community and G-d Himself.
Let me be clear though, I do not believe that government should restrict homosexual marriages in a Democratic society and if they do so they must put to the vote for each state to decide (I am thought strongly oppose to homosexual marriages). However, I am strong opponent to homosexual preachers be

What are your opinions on this difficult subject?

Again, what I am saying is that strong opponent to homosexual preachers because they take religious that is pure and make it into tainted, perverse and disgusting faith; and that I do not agree with. If homosexual people want to come to church and synagogue then more power to them.

Scott, I do not shave my beard and I do not carry sticks or anything else on Shabbas. On shaving your head it does not say this. The bible teaches us that corners of your head you shall not shave as are the corners of your beard.

Furthermore, Scott, I do not eat shellfish, pork, and any other food that the Torah prohibits.

I agree with you. You have stated what I wanted to state. It is hypocrisy on the highest level. It is almost the same thing as to allow repeated child molester to teach in elementary school after he is released from prison.

As to their arguments:
I have heard the argument that the Torah only prohibits the sex act (the "lie with another man" part) and that the love between a man and a man is not prohibited. Their argument goes on to detail that if a man marries another man and do not perform sodomy, it is legal according to Torah, especially since G-d made them this way. They believe it was G-d's choice, and not theirs, to make them homosexual, and that as long as they either abstain from sex or get it (Torah) legally (which I don't know how would they do without committing adultery) it is not a sin.
When I think about it, I think that it is not a choice, and G-d did make them this way. Just like G-d gave the Jews more responsibilities, I would think that G-d gave homosexuals more challenges (i.e. abstaining from sodomy). Then again, I am not as wise on this issue as I wish I was.
So, as to whether I agree with it, I do not know and cannot answer that part of the question at this time. I can see their argument, but I can definitely see ours as well. I am split on the issue.

Homosexuality is wrong, but it's happening because these are the few things the Bible, Qur'an and Tor'ah predicted. In the end times, leaders in any category, whether it's religion, school, presidency, pretty much anything you can name will be going against their own teachings. How can a preacher preach when his own Bible is against His own actions? They're not real Christians. Although I'm Muslim, i also know that a true christian would never accept homosexuality. You can't represent God's message if you can't accept His message in the first place. So that leaves you in no position to be a preacher in the first place. I blame those who allow these preachers to preach more than anyone else.

Its not right biblically. Unfortunately there are sinful people taking on the role of spiritual leaders...not just sinful because they are gay, but sinful from conception..since the garden (we ALL are sinful creatures) . I feel as though people who are struggling with that particular sin need to voluntarily remove themselves from office, in the same way that a woman who (for example) is an adulteress, needs to remove herself from a position of authority in the church if she holds one. Its true that we cant go around throwing every sinful person out of the church-the church would be empty..but there is also a level of respect for the authority God has placed on those who are in positions of leadership that needs to be respected. As a believer though, I dont hang my faith on what a preacher does or doesnt do because no matter what a man does, it doesnt negate the omnipotence of God..it merely amplifies the depths of man's humanity and imperfection in comparision to a Perfect God.
Besides, I feel like people who argue against religion use other 'people's example as the excuse for why they dont believe in God and ultimately, that excuse isnt going to wash at Judgment.

Being homosexual is not the problem - acting on that impulse is the problem This is no different than the expectation for all of us - sexuality is to be practiced only within marriage and marriage (in the eyes of God, not talking about government laws here) is between one man and one woman. Each person is to be chaste in order to be an acceptable leader and role model for others. What ever happened to self-control?

My issues is that we have ALL sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. I wonder why should I have to repent of my sexual sins as a heterosexual but homosexuals don't feel the need to do so. We have ALL sinned and deserve death, those of us who repent and ask for forgiveness will receive it. To me unrepentant homosexuals taking leadership in the church is the highest form of hypocrisy.

there is a major feeling among lots of people that homosexualirty is an abomination.
modern science is increasingly showing that who a person is attracted to sexually is not a matter of choice. I could quote studies about monozygotic twins seperated at birth---did a research paper on it---and go back and forth on this, but the fact is, who we are attracted to is largely out of our control.
yet, revulsion against same-sex sex is pretty universal.
the Bible records people trying to understand the incomprehensible. It reflects human bigotry and biases. It contains numerous contradictions.
but
the underlying themes---forgiveness, shutting down pride, charity, love---those things are true. I believe them.
I could be wrong.
no one wants to be homosexual---there is no advantage. You have no rights, everybody hates you. But...we are who we are, and God loves us.
I regularly attend a church with a lesbian preacher. She is far more advanced, spiritually and in every other way, than I am.
We are who we are---the greatest law is "LOVE THY NEIGHBOR"

Gee dude, you might want to find something a little better than Leviticus to make your point with. that is unless you are also a proponent of selling your duaghters into slavery, and agree it is a sin for farmers to grow two crops in a field or for anyone to wear cloth made from two kinds of thread.
I believe it is up to a church to make the decision as to whether or not they will marry same gender couples or ordain ministers who are gay. I do not believe a democratic government has the right to decide (as you yourself have stated).
A loving couple who cares for each other in good times and bad always sets a positive example, regardless of gender, or whether or not they are pastors or rabbis. furthermore, if you are indeed a Christian, you yourself mock God himself (and Christ) when you make judgements of others.
Cartoon....: You have just inferred that those who disagree are atheists. Where did you find such approval to judge in the Gospels? As for using the letters of Paul instead of Leviticus, what's the point. After all, what was Paul before conversion? An old testement scholar. Where do you think he got his bias? Not from Christ who is not reported to have said one single word concerning homosexuality.

It also says in Levitcus that shaving your beard or head, eating shellfish, picking up sticks on Saturday, and wearing clothing made of two different textiles are all hell worthy offenses.
If you avatar is anything like you then you too are just as evil or bad as them and you should NEVER EVER teach either.
Hypocrisy is funny when applied to you huh?
