Is it harmful to consume tree leaves that aren't poisonous? Assuming they're clean too. Are they digestible to the human stomach? I was just thinking one day and wondering if it's... possible to make a salad out of tree leaves that wouldn't harm the stomach or oneself.

Yes it is harmful to consume tree leaves coz our digestive system can not digest cellulose.
Some experts believe that the appendix was for digesting leaves as primates, over time we have eaten less vegetables and over the thousands of years we have evolved for this organ to be smaller to make room for our stomach.
whereas in animals ..appendix is still working,.......animals like cow, goat, deer, etc. they can diest leaves.

The human digestive system can't digest cellulose, which is that makes up plant cell walls. It doesn't hurt you, it just goes straight through.

I think that most leaves are indigestible, so you would get a really bad case of gas, indigestion, and diarrhea.
