In the UK we allow any place of worship to be built. The muslims even want the biggest of all in east London, so lets build a church in Saudi :D:D:D:D

Because it is a theocracy. Saudi Arabia is a nation run on religious beliefs. To go against those beliefs is to go against the law in that country, and since the religion is Islam, to build a church in the name of Christianity is to break the law.

EDIT: I will admittedly point out that I was mistaken in an earlier question that was similar to this one (see link below), where I said there were churches in Saudi Arabia. There are churches in other Arabic/Middle Eastern countries, but not actually in Saudi Arabia. My apologies for the inaccuracy.

Because the law in Saudi Arabia states that no citizen of Saudi Arabia could be of any faith or religion besides Islam. All Saudi Arabia citizens must be Moslems. It is obvious therefore that no place of worship is allowed besides the Mosque in Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, nobody visiting Saudi Arabia who is not Moslem is allowed to enter either of the two cities: Mecca or Medina. The law would justifies the death of any body and requires that he be executed and put to death should he be found to have entered both of these cities while belonging to another faith other than the Islam on account that these two cities are considered the holiest cities in the country!

No offense to Muslims, but the idea surrounding right to relgion, beliefs and freedom of speech are not really respected as much in Muslim countries. They just seem more protective (if not TOO) over Islam only.

I think its rather a shame: diversity should be celebrated. I mean life must be hard for you if you are of another religion in S Arabia or another Muslim country, but oh well you cant do anything.

Because Saudi Arabia have more sense than the UK. If you want to live there you conform or don`t go. That`s what we should be doing more of here.

Because converting people from Islam to Christianity carries the death penalty for both the convert and the converter. The Gospel can't be preached openly and they frown on open meetings of other faiths. I'm not sure they allow even non-Arab Christians to meet publicly.

the late pro-British king of Saudi Arabia (who was gone to war with great Britten against Muslim Turks) was Asked if he would allow church in his country he replayed " over my dead body" he means he well defend his country against crusades even if it cost him his life and since then no churches allowed in Saudi not even red roses in Valentine.

Believe it or not...that 'concept' is exactly what is lying deep beneath this whole Iraq mess. Iraq is lying dead smack in the middle of what is called the 1040 Window...a portion of the world that has been impervious to the Bible. Non Christian since biblical times... Part of revelation requires that a large number Muslims convert to chiristianity. When Iraq was first 'conquered' some of the first things to get in there were satellites. For the first time, the people in that region had access to stuff like TBN, and some of the major evangelicals like Benny Hinn were scheduling revivals in places previously FORBIDDEN for Christians to enter. So...while everyone is woofing about what they see on the surface; exporting democracy, stealing oil, etc...the real reason at the root..is exporting the GOSPEL.

So, yes there will be a church in Saudi Arabia...in time.

I AGREE TO THIS. The muslims wants mosques everywhere and when people disagree they say we are discriminating. The Thing Is Not everyone can live in Saudi UNLESS your family is there....We should have the same laws here!

Insecurity. The challenge would be too big.

BUT I did attend a (secret) Church in Saudi during the Gulf War. And, no, I will not give any further detail but please pray for it
