Actually as a Christian I believe that verse and similar verses are taken out of context. They always spout off "Thou shalt not judge" but... there's more to that verse, that they conveniently leave out. It goes on to say "for by what measure we judge you too shall be judged." This puts a little twist on it. If you judge be prepared to be judged by the same standard you judge others.
Humans NEED to and are forced to make judgements all the time. In fact God appointed judges all through the bible.
My take is this: If I make a judgement about the crack house and it's occupants down the street, and tell my children they are not aloud to hang out there, I won't MIND God judging ME on THAT judgement. It was absolutely necessary.
Of course we can't be self righteous and ridiculous, but we can't pretend that there aren't some necessary judgements we need to make to protect ourselves and our families.

It is not a rule. It is advice. And good advice. You are not perfect, you make many mistakes yourself, so you are in no position to judge others. The indians said it best when they say "Do not judge another man before you walk two moons in his shoes."

We can judge, but we are to use righteous judgment. We can not be doing a bunch of bad evil things and think we can talk about any one else. Clean up around your own back door before you tell somebody else they are doing wrong.

Because liberals keep saying the same thing to us, so we naturally assumed that this was YOUR rule.
Nowhere in the Bible is there a blanket rule to never judge. Judgment might be wrong in certain circumstances, but there is no command to never judge.

If you are not in or of a mold you are not judging--you are criticizing. I can only assume you are perfect--you have no need of any guidelines. You are equal to God, thus you have no need for him.
