if a felony is dropped to a misdemeanor, does that mean that the you will be sentenced according to guidelines of a misdemeanor? Or will it be a felony? Just asking because someone said that they just drop it so your record won't affect you when it comes to job..just curious?

If you plead out from a felony to a misdemeanor...your sentence will be based upon the conviction of the misdemeanor not the felony!

Thats the reason your attorney tries to plea you to a lesser charge!

Best wishes.

You will be sentenced to the misdemeanor guidelines. That's why it was reduced so that you can receive the lesser sentence.
