THIS IS A TOTALLY HYPOTHETICAL SITUATION.
My last kiss I gave successfully over a year ago. I got denied a couple months ago; when I tried and another time since then I *missed*, but no charges or anything.
THIS QUESTION IS JUST BECAUSE I WONDER:

Say you go out on a date with a girl and at the end you try to kiss her. You think she likes you; you DO kiss her. And she pulls away pissed and calls the cops for assault. She says she's just a warm person and is like that with everyone -- she certainly didn't want you to KISS her.
They come up, ask if you kissed her, you say yes but she obviously didn't want to keep kissing so it's over now.

But you just admitted to touching her without her permission.
So what kind of penalty can stealing a kiss get you?

I understand it's rape if you use your tongue. So you get 20-30 in prison then register as a sex offender for the rest of your life?

I know most women wouldn't press charges on most men for this, I'm just wondering what they COULD do

I'm not up to date with the rights of women today. They are advancing almost every day. They can get away with kicking/hitting/biting a man in a combative fashion, but we can't even put our face on theirs in a loving way. Your question reminds me of this and pisses me off.

the cops here would laugh at her. A women here knows better than to call the cops as she knows she will get laughed at. She would probably just smack you in your face and that would be the end of it. I guess officially you could get charged with misdeameanor offensive touching. But that is not jail, maybe 6 months probation at the most! The judge would probably laugh and throw away the case!

With today's laws, you could probably be charged with a sex offense, ie, have your life ruined over just a kiss. I know it sounds crazy, but welcome to our crazy world. Other than that, it depends what state you live in, though most states are treating it all about the same now. It may not seem fair, but it is reality.

she could file a restraining order and state the cause.
that would be on your permanent record.
she could file charges, whether they stick as more than a misdeamenor, Im not sure.
probably would depend on her age, your age, and all the other circumstances at the time, was there alcohol present, were you in a public place or were you hiding in a corner, yada yada.

If it were say at a public school you could get expelled or worse it could be a sexual battery or assault or harrassment charge.
It all depends on the people involved, or the authorities involved it they think there was more to it than appearances.
Sure...the worst case scenario, someone could go to jail.
for how long? dunno.

Now when the situation is reversed and you are in jail and your cellmate wants to "steal" more than a kiss what is your position? The rules for men and women are the same

I never had this happen to me. I seriously doubt you will be in any trouble attempting to give a girl a casual good nite kiss after a date. Most women would welcome it.

You shouldn't get in trouble unless you didn't stop after she made it clear that it was unwanted. If you didn't know it was unwanted when you kissed her, there is no crime.
