Everyone says " I'm not against immigration, but to illegal immigration is where I have a problem with".

With this new law taking effect sooner than you can say "Chicharrones" would you guys be over the name calling, lies, hate, exagerations, and get back to your traditional hate focus other than Latinos?

Hey guy!

There are TWO TYPES OF IMMIGRANTS. Got it?

There are those who come here legally and those who do not.

And there will still be illegal immigration even after the guest worker programs go into effect.

Come here legally, YES. Sneak in, NO!

You have some MAJOR errors in your question.

1) The guest worker program is NOT "about to take effect." That is one of the amendments being debated - eliminate the program. This is NOT A DONE DEAL! Don't count your chickens yet - it's not going to happen!!!

2) What is wrong with the statement that we are NOT anti-immigrant but we are anti-ILLEGAL immigrant. It is a fact! I don't care where they come from. If they are illegal they don't belong here. This also takes the race card out of the picture because this is NOT a racist issue!

We don't hate Latinos. We hate the actions of the ILLEGAL aliens. WHAT PART OF ILLEGAL DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?

3) As previously stated, this is NOT a done deal. There is so much anger from both sides. This bill will not pass in the present form or in any form if they start listening to the voters!

Most Americans don't want amnesty and that's what this bill is!!! Most Americans don't want to pay over $2.5 TRILLION if this piece of crap passes. Many Americans are really angry if they actually read the provisions of this garbage.

Racism does not make people hate illegal immigrants.

Illegal immigration makes racism.

When I walk down the street and I see a person of obvious Asian ancestry, do I wonder if he is here illegally? No! Of course there are some illegal immigrants from China and Japan and Korea and the Phillipines, but most of these people are either American-born citizens, naturalized citizens, or legal residents.

If I see a White person, do I wonder if he is an illegal German or undocumented Swede? No, because again, most are American-born citizens, naturalized citizens, or legal residents.

And sure there are illegal alien Haitians and Nigerians and Kenyans. But again, most Blacks are American-born citizens, naturalized...etc.

But Latinos? The percent of Latinos who are illegal is much higher. And so I start to wonder. Is the woman in the bakery legal? Is that kid sitting next to me here on a student visa? Has her family lived in Albuquerque for 70 years, or did she sneak across the border in Natches? And despite my best intentions, I become suspicious of people.

If Latinos entered the US legally like the majority of other people, no one would be pissed off.

We can't find people who came here legally and over stayed their visa.We don't enforce the laws brought about {on paper only} with the last Amnesty Bill. Immigration enforcement is a joke that is known all over the world hence our large influx of Illegal Aliens which includes people from countries other than Mexico. We couldn't find Jimmy Hoffa. Can't find Asama Ben Laden , White House memos, the people's voice{congress} which I have not heard in the peoples interest for 30 years. good luck if you believe this bill will get passed let alone enforced. That's how 12million got here already.

I also wonder what the effects of a guest worker program will be. If people can come here legally...there will be no reason to whine or post hatred anymore!!!

This law is a LONG way from being passed. This is the Senate version. The House of Representatives still has to weigh in on this issue. This bill will not be passed in its present form because the legislators know that if they do, they'll be looking at the Capitol building from the sidewalk next election. So before you start telling us what to think and what to care about, at least learn the process.

I'm afraid what you want will never happen until the hispanic illegals assimilate. And since they refuse to do that, expect more problems. This bill has not passed yet, and I personally don't think it will. And to use the excuse that people are against immigrants is getting old. Maybe you might try coming up with a new excuse.

I really hope it passes. I think it will be great.
These people that are commenting dont even know anything about immigration. They are just raciest towards Mexicans and all Latinos...Which is sad. These people will pay for their comments. Dont worry.

If they really understood what it was like in certain parts of Mexico they wouldn't complain.....if they had a heart....

I wonder how many low ratings I will get on this answer.....
I dont care just so all of you know. I love Latinos. They are the best people if you would get to know them and not judge them! :)

Of course they won't get over it.
They are self absorbed, egotistical, ingorant whiners that will find something else to whine about. Guaranteed.
They base their logic on facts that they grow in their garden of ignorance a/k/a their minds, rumors, and pure hatred.
It amazes me how much people have so much to say when they're not really saying anything worth hearing.
People opposing this immigration bill are racists and have never had the pleasure of knowing these people.
They're a better example of a human being than most Americans.

I seriously hope this program takes effect! Our lives are bigger than claiming stakes where we were lucky to be born at. I have no problems sharing if everyone else puts up an effort along with me.
