I definetely do it. You don't know if anything has crawled on it or not. I think it's normal... but who knows...

Of course, who knows what dirty stuff has gotten on it before it landed in my hands. I have heard a story that someone once dranked a soda can w/o wiping the rim and got sick 'cuz there was bug eggs all around the rim.

Yes I do that, too.
Cans just seem dirty, sitting in the store and the warehouse before that. You never know what's crawled on them, besides all the dust.
I prefer a bottle to a can, because the bottles have a cap covering the part you drink from, unlike cans.

I usually do from time to time because I don't like whatever could be on the can. It could be dirty or have something that the naked eye wouldn't see. I would usually wash the can's rim before I opened it because I don't know where the can had been before I bought it in the supermarket.

I do. Lord knows what is on those cans. I heard once that rat and mouse feces get on the can in warehouses and during shipping. So now I wash the can off and use a straw.
Yes, I think it is totally normal and a great idea.

Yes. it's normal. Everytime i eat at restaurants or buffet i've noticed my bf wipe the forks, plates, etc before using. I'm starting to catch on with doing the same.

I hope I'm retelling this right, but I remember hearing that a lot of soda cans in warehouses waiting to be shipped are inadvertantly sprayed with chemicals (to rid the warehouse of rats, bugs, etc.)...I don't know how true that is, but since I heard that I've done it ever since.

Always! It is normal and sometimes I even was the top of the can because soda' s you get out of the machine can have residue of other soda's that have busted in the machine.
It is completely normal.

Yes, you are normal and everybody should wipe the top of any can before they drink it. The cans have been handled and other cans have been stacked on top. You cannot be careful enough.

of course, i ALWAYS rinse the can with hot water and wipe if i drink out of a can (which i really try not to do period).
i read an article one time that people got sick after having drank these certain drinks from cans. turns out that rodents had peed on the boxes that held the cans when they were in storage, so people got sick from that.

I do, although I'm more compelled to do it out of a soda machine than from a case wrapped in cardboard, purchased at a grocery.
