you are very healthy. I can't beleive they didn't tell you when they took the measurements. the acceptable level for a 20 year old woman of 5'2' is 25-31% and the average recomended weight is either 104-137lbs or ideal weight of 111lbs if you are building muscle mass your fat will come off by itself due to constant muscle building calorie burn. (muscles burn more calories and weigh more than fat) if you want to lower your fat percentage(seems you want to but don't need to) be sure you eat right because the body feeds off muscle more than fat and you want muscle more than fat. don't do crazy diets you should lose the 5 -8 pounds slowly so your body stays healthy and you don't start the cycle of yo-yo dieting don't lose more than a pound or so a week(3500 calories) you are in good shape take your health seriously now and develop healthy eating/exercise habits and be sure to not get too out of hand some people get obsessed with being thin and forget their health is most important. anyquestions you have you should check with a doctor or nutritionist trainers are programmed to push people not balance wellness. some aren't educated well either they can get a certificate over the weekend so check the credentials before you trust they know what is what.

No, it is not obese, your body fat percentage is within the acceptable range (18%-32%). Having a body fat percentage of 29% is not the same as having a BMI of 29, which would be almost obese. You may want to lower your body fat percentage by ganing muscle, but this would be more for fitness reasons as opposed to health reasons.

However, if you have a lot of fat around the middle, this can be a problem. Is your waist more than 32 inches? If so, this can be an added healthy risk regardless of whether your body fat percentage is healthy or not.

HTH : )

You are not overweight but you are overfat. Your body fat % should be like, 20%. Review your diet. Make sufre you are getting enough calories.

Cut the cardio down to 2-3 day per week.

Beef up your weight training, every other day train your muscles to exhaustion. For example. Monday: upper body. Tuesday:lower body Wednesday: upper body Thursday: lower body Friday: upper body Saturday: lower body Sunday: Rest. Make sure to get all the main muscle groups. Abs need only be done every other day as long as you are working to muscle exhaustion.

you are absolutely NOT obese! 5'2" and 118 is very small. Anyone who is telling you that you are is completely delusional. Keep up excerising and eating right. But don't obsess over it. Enjoy life! :-)

you're not that much overweight and depending on how you carry the weight, you might be just right. you seem to be doing everything right. keep it up and you'll see results. don't forget to drink lots of water, too.
