Surrounding a phrase with double quotation marks tells the search engine to look for literally everything between the double quotes, such as "Chicago, IL" would look for every occurance of Chicago with a comma following immediately after the "o" a space followed by "IL" which would skip over something like a sentence which ended with the word Chicago, as in "I went to Chicago."

So you would search for this:

"50%"
"$$$money$$$"

You can put your search in " to make is search for everything. An example would be "The United States of America" in which only the phrase would be searched for.
