There are grants available from the government but are difficult to obtain.

The government paid for both my Master's degrees including my MBA. I served as a US Army officer and used the GI Bill to pay for my graduate degrees. The GI Bill is still an option today if you really want to earn your Master's.

The question is...are you willing to serve in the military to earn the GI Bill?

That's a lot of money for a loan...there are other options depending on the field. Some states pay for teachers to get their master's while they teach...some research pays for additional degrees and many universities use grad students to teach or assistant teach.

File a FAFSA. If you file early enough, and have a low EFC (expected family contribution), you should get a decent amount of grants. However, you will probably still have to take out a loan (Stafford loans don't have to be repaid until 6 months after college).
If you really don't want a loan, most profs need grad students to help them out, and you can make a lot assisting in research.

There are recognised charities who help students. I don't know if the Princes Trust help.

The website below came up when I put in 'charitable trusts to help student loans'

Check others out they might help. Good Luck.
