It's called Bell's Palsy and thankfully is usually temporary. It usually makes the face twisted until the feeling comes back.

Bells Palsy, I have heard that quite a few women get this when pregnant as well. I had a relative that this happened to during her pregnancy and it went away and she is fine now.
