Contact the Stuttering Foundation at www.stutteringhelp.org or 1-800-992-9392. That is where several of my uncles and cousins got help. The Foundation has a list of referrals for every state of therapists. If there isn't one near you who specializes in helping teens/adults with stuttering, get the Foundation's book, "Self Therapy for the Stutterer." I think it is only a couple dollars. Only one of my uncles was able to work with a therapist as the other family members either didn't have one nearby or couldn't afford to pay one. All of them worked diligently through the steps in the book and went back through the steps over and over and became very fluent. Even the one who went to a therapist also used the book.
