What's the secret of "666"? Does the Bible have the answer?

Is 666 found anywhere in the Bible besides in Revelations? Just what does it represent? Why are people so scared of the number?

The answer to the infamous number '666' mentioned in Revelation is found in 1 Kings 10:14 -

"Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred threescore and six talents of gold."

In other words...666 has NOTHING at all to do with the devil, as so many "religious" leaders have taught. It represents "gold" or in other words MONEY!

666 is a code given in the Book of Revelation that is related to Ezekiel 21:25-27. There is word there in verse 27 that was said three times for the Profane and wicked Prince of Israel. The word in some Bible is "Twisted." The Prince in rankings number is 9 and the King is 10 meaning absolute ruler. There is one prince in Israel whose position had been twisted three times and the 9 (which was 999) became 6 which became 666). Meaning he is not the real prince idolized as such but the false prince or false teachings of the religion about this prince. Furthermore, if you will analyze Revelation 13, the Beast of the Sea says the beast have seven heads and one of the heads was "fatally" wounded and the "fatal" wound was healed. Is there any character in the Bible that had been severely wounded and taken for the dead but came back to life in three days?

Revelation 13: 18 states that "six hundred threescore six is the number of a man and that man is found at I Kings 10:14 " the weight of gold (money) that came to Solomon in one year was "six hundred threescore and six talents of gold." Common sense would than dictate that 666 is money, which everyone has in their right hand. Unless people are the devil there is no reason to be scared. In Revelation 13:18 it says "Six hundred threescore and six" I have a problem with this though. The word score, to represent times 20 is an Old English term. Score didn't mean times 20 in biblical times. So, if we're going to take the saying literally, the sign would be 600III6 (score meaning a line). But then again, you have to take that a step farther, you have to determine what 600 and 6 looked like in biblical times. That is the symbol of the beast... if there actually is one.

It's a rather paranoid numerological representation of the emperor Nero, whom John thought was going to return to the throne and begin persecuting Christians again.

Given the very human notion that the "apocalypse will happen in my lifetime," generation after generation has scared itself witless with the vague prognostications of "Revelations" in order to believe that the end of the world was just around the corner.

It's pure silliness.
