I have a drive C and drive D on my laptop. I see that I have no space on my C drive left. Or can I save to D without saving in C as well.

the D drive is a partition on your hard drive that contains the recovery software should you ever have to restore the computer back to factory settings, and should not be tampered with. get an external USB hard drive and save all your music and photos there, or get a larger capacity hard drive and clone your old one with the recovery partition intact

That depends on what "Drive D" is. If it's a CDROM, you're pretty much stuck with it unless you take the drive out. If it's a hard drive and it has space on it, you can get something like Partition Magic and use the software to combine the two drives into one (if it's 1 drive that has been partitioned into 2 partitions). If they are two physical hard drives, I'm sure there is some fancy new software out there that will turn them into 1 big virtual drive.

Hmm, your C drive is your physical storage space in your pc. Drive D is not an actual storage unit. That's just to let you know, "hey, I've detected a dvd/cd-rom hardware, but I'll name it D." It does the same for flashdrives, have you noticed it's reserved for the E drive? Same thing, pc says: "HAY GUYZ, i've detected a flashdrive and it may be found in the E drive."

Unless you have another hd as slave (read:2 hardrives), you can't.

D is usually your system restore. I wouldn't fool with it. If you need more hard drive space, I'd go with an external hard drive.
