the issue is that when it comes to seeking truth or history or evidence of creation etc. the bible is used as a definitive source that is inherently true and therefore evidenced.
however when it is suitable for it to be faith alone it becomes faith alone.

Because religion is a choice. You choose whichever faith best fulfills you spiritually and gives you hope and helps you develop a relationship with a Loving Creator.
2/3 of the world did not find those things in Christianity.
Simple.

Because it is wrong... As a minister of adolf hitler once said if you tell a lie long enough the people will think it true...
Jesus Christ ( Is gods last name Christ? LOL) was a Jew he never said for any man to form a new religon and to worship him. The bible written two hundred years ago is incomplete the authors left out part that did not shown him in the best light. Most of the people his inner circle are not encluded in the bible (James for one) Oh i heard he fought back against the romans - cann't have that in the bible..when the christians lack for an answer they always go to the old testament ( an other name for the Jewish bk of god). Did you ever wonder why god has only spoken to the Jews and never to a christian who has to deal w/ his son? or some man/woman elevated saint or pope??? and speeking of the son or the other ghostly trinity.. Do christian really believe in one god???? I counting at least three now and what about the arch angels? the devil ?? are they gods ?? or lesser gods??
----christians are not asking for faith in this area they are telling the biggest lie....
God told moses to follow him and no lesser god. Gods message "do not follow anyone but me.. under line under line.

1. Christianity is based more on faith than evidence. If we had overwhelming hard evidence that Jesus is the Son of God then there would be little need for faith which God seems to want us humans to have. God has a perfect plan which we humans can only see a part of. We can't entirely see the big picture or comprehend it all, so we must have faith that God knows what He is doing, even though we don't always understand His reasons.
2. Much of the world has never even heard of Christ. China alone accounts for about 1/7 of the world population and being a Christian, spreading the gospel of Christ etc...are forbidden. Those caught doing so are put in prison or worse! In many Middle Eastern nations the punishment is death! These nations censor the internet...you can't google "Jesus" and find websights spreading the gospel.
3. Jesus is the ONLY perfect person who has ever lived and all Christians have won and lost battles with Satan, hence the history of Christianity (which is made up of imperfect human beings) contains good and bad, just like the personal history of every human being whom has ever lived, most definately including myself, including every Pope who ever lived, including Mother Teresa...etc... contains good and bad. The good is found where Christians are doing what Jesus Christ wants them to do, giving Him control of all aspects of their lives in truly and completely following Him. The bad is found where Christians or those claiming to be Christians, aren't acting like a Christian and are following their own evil desires instead of following Jesus.
4. Those who truly believe in Jesus are saved and bound for eternal life in His presence in Heaven, which Jesus referred to as paradise when He was on dying on the cross. The freely given blood of Jesus has washed away their sins, hence there is no need for them to be judged. Every deed ever done, every second of those who do not believe Jesus is the Son of God and haven't accepted Him as their personal Saviour...and where they spend eternity rests in Gods hands.

The other 2/3 has yet to see any of this "evidence" that the Christians speak of, I know I haven't ever seen it.

Who said Christianity is based on so much evidence? I thought it was based on faith, which is exactly the opposite: (hope for things which are not seen, which are true).

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. This is what Christianity is based on--FAITH.

Tell you what- from the perspective of academic debate and logic, you define for me what you call evidence and what you think comprises evidence, and I'll come back and answer your question. Ok? Later

The only 'evidence' there is to support christianity is the bible.
It is full of holes, contradictions, and ridiculous myths.
So that kind of expains it.
