I lived in Brasil for two years as a missionary for my Church. My wife is Brasilian. I love Brasil and its people. Brasilian Christians are great people. I thought some of the crentes were a little fora de controle, but they are good people who are trying to live their religion. Brasilians are naturally friendly, generous, and hospitable. I was always treated well as a missionary and was readily received into people's homes. I feel that Brasilians are, by nature, better at living according to some of Christ's basic principles.

I think like almost 80% of the population claims to be Catholic. I know this because i study Brazil I do mission work there. Most of these Catholics do not even go to mass on sundays. I do love the Brazilian culture though because they are very adaptive people who listen to you and do not shun you away. This is a perfect place for a huge movement for the Lord
