Is it true that celebrix is not as harmful as thought recently?

I asked my Doctor who I a have alot of respect for, about this issue. I too take Celebrex, and here is what he explained to me:

The studies of heart attack and risk of strokes with Celebrex use was a study done on a group of people who were not in the best of shape to begin with, People who are prescribed this drug happen to be people commonly overweight, do not excercise, etc. due to their physical limitations. This study did not factor in the physical problems these people had to begin with, and therefore didn't really find these people would have been in a high risk group anyway. In his opinion with the information found on his research, taken as directed Celebrex is a safe drug.
