find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

You probably didn't get that way overnight so don't expect instant results and don't do everything at once. I started walking on my lunch hour, slow and occasionally at first but now I do it most every day and walk at a much brisker pace. Cut some things (but not everything) out of your diet. I stopped eating fries (yum!) but will still have some chips every now and again. I figure it will take me a while to completely change all my habits. I'm getting there very slowly but I feel pretty good about myself for the efforts so far.

Its so important to remain optimistic, even when you arent getting immediate results, or have leveled your results. I always tell people, your scale is poison, throw it away, judge your results by the fit of your clothing rather than the number on your scale. I believe people have put apperance over health and I am glad you want to get healthy. FIRST, toss the scale, second, eat right, and not a diet or crazy excersize plan, thirdly, give yourself small, attainable goals. When I need to lose weight, I get out the clothes I want to wear and say, "ok, BY JULY whatever, Im going to be in these pants and be comfortable wearing them". Thats alot easier than, I want to lose 50 pounds in a month. BEST of health to you, good luck.

you stop telling yourself you can't.
you are self defeating here, no one can help you on this one, you have to help yourself.
as long as you think or say that you can't do something, then you never will.
