This is awesome. Man did most of you read this question wrong. If the "Christian God" does exist in the form most of his followers say he is an absolutely evil, immoral, iniquitous, nefarious, rotten, unethical, vicious, vile, villainous, wicked being that I want to have absolutely nothing to do with.

I'll sacrifice myself to an eternity of hell to protest that cruel and inhumane cretin they call God.
He doesn't deserve my respect.

Okay, I'll dip into your fairy tale for a few sentences.
I'll still be on my feet while you'll be on your knees. I'll make my own decisions. You'll be a slave.
So, what will you do when you die and find out that you've spent your life in service to a nonexistent god, giving his cult your time and dignity (not to mention cash), liberally spreading his promises that everyone who doesn't donate goes to hell, only to be reincarnated as a frog?
Yeah, you're right. I'm convinced. Better to indoctrinate myself in your religion than risk the whole maybe burn in hell thing. I cast myself at the feet of your Witnessing magnificence. I throw off my blinders of sin and bask in your gentle but tough rendering of the Holy Spirit's message! I convert! I repent! I...am laughing too hard, now. Sorry.
I have to say that I really suck at ahimsa today. Well, that's actually the usual for me.

Atheists as well as most everyone else are already in "hell". We are all children of God on a journey from ignorance to completion. Contrary to Christians who tell you that the law is done away, we are under laws that result in definite effects when they are broken. Cause and effect (Karma if you like) comes into play but most are too unaware to even notice this. To the few who are more aware this state of unawareness/hell is described as "sleep" or "death".
Our misconceptions and internal divisions limit our awareness or consciousness. To one of higher awareness the state of most people resembles that of a robot, constantly shifting programs in response to outside stimulus and never coming to understand why they are doing what they are doing. One must learn how to become free of these lower laws that limit one's thinking to the elementary earthly level so that one might progress to the next stage of spiritual progress. God has a virtual eternity of patience. In the end we will all get there, how fast is up to us.

Thank god I'll never be put in that position. I will just die. Like any other animal. Any god as cruel as the christian god I want not part of. If he's going to send me to hell he better have a better reason then I didn't believe!

"Or will you be happy that you didn't get drawn in by a deceitful, hate spreading, cruel, infernal god and religion?"
The second sentence of course. But I shall be neither happy nor sad. I simply won't be. Ta ta, so-long, bye-bye. Hello, Maggot. Tell me, before you bite into my decaying flesh, are you a boy maggot or a girl maggot? And are you saved?

Who says atheists, more than anyone else, will go to Hell, besides you?
We all fall short of God and are incapable of being in His presence until perfect like Him.
Through His grace He has given us Faith that will pull us out of Hell into His presence.
Rather than attacking those who have not been given Faith, a gift, pray for them. Heaven can never be too full.
The more the merrier...

No, actually I'll be asking Jesus, who was impartial, and stood on the outside of religious organizations (thats why he was impartial, you know, much like an atheist) why those christians lied about him - saying he had sex with his father.
Didn't Jesus go into "hell" to save the people that followed in his footsteps? News Flash - Jesus will not reside in heaven, boys and girls.

No. The sensation of all my sins being cleansed by fire is something I am looking forward to. By the way, does God let us bring bbq sauce to hell or at least a little bit of olive oil?

There is no Hell!! Well, no hell in that sense... There is a hell. Hell is an eternal death. The word literally means "grave." God is a loving and forgiving God. He would not sentence His own people to an eternal torture.
