The less common adverse effects of Strattera include dizziness, somnolence (sleepiness), sedation and abnormal dreams. Hallucinations are not an expected adverse effect. However, suidical ideation and suicidal attempts are a potential adverse reaction.
Normally, it's prescribed as a single dose in the morning or as two evenly divided doses in the morning and late afternoon or early evening.
Report your adverse effects to your prescriber. This drug can be stopped immediately without tapering off.

The most common side effects of Strattera include dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, appetite decreased, dizziness and mood swings. I find a lot of doctors prescribe Strattera to be taken in the morning. Call you doctor and inform he or she of the symptoms you experienced, this way your doctor can have it documented incase you keep experiencing it, and they'll be able to tell you whether you should try taking it at night or not.

Atomoxetine is used as part of a total treatment program to increase the ability to pay attention and decrease impulsiveness and hyperactivity in children and adults with ADHD. Atomoxetine is in a class of medications called selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors. It works by increasing the levels of norepinephrine, a natural substance in the brain that is needed to control behavior.
Atomoxetine may cause side effects. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:
* heartburn
* upset stomach
* vomiting
* loss of appetite
* weight loss
* constipation
* stomach pain
* gas
* dry mouth
* excessive tiredness
* dizziness
* headache
* mood swings
* decreased sex drive or ability
* difficulty urinating
* painful or irregular menstrual periods
* cough
* runny nose
* pain or pressure in the face
* fever
* chills
* muscle pain
* sweating
* hot flashes
* difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep
* unusual dreams
* burning or tingling in the hands, arms, feet, or legs
Some side effects can be serious. If you experience any of the following symptoms, or those listed in the IMPORTANT WARNING or SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS section, call your doctor immediately:
* fast or pounding heartbeat
* swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, eyes, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs
* hoarseness
* difficulty swallowing or breathing
* hives
* rash
* aggressive or violent behavior
Atomoxetine may slow down children's growth or weight gain. Your child's doctor will probably monitor him or her carefully during his or her treatment with atomoxetine. Talk to your child's doctor about the risks of giving this medication to your child.
Atomoxetine may cause other side effects. Call your doctor if you have any unusual problems while taking this medication.
Please see the web pages for more details on Atomoxetine (generic name) Strattera (brand name).

Hi:
Don't fool around with any medication on your own. Especially a new medicine you are taking. Best place to have your question answered correctly is your doctor's office. Just a few minutes on the phone and then you will know for certain.
Take Care of yourself.

Switch to taking it at night instead of the morning. With a med like that it isn't totally uncommon for that to happen. Now if you take it at night and you still have that problem then talk to your MD you might need to get on something diffrent.

your side effects are highly unusual, and would indicate to me that ADD (what the med is prescribed for) is not your problem. You need to go back to the doctor.
