find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

You need a balanced combination of proteins and carbohydrates, with moderate caloric intake. To lose weight you need burn more calories than you take in.
You know what to eat..... fish, chicken, vegetables, and some fruit (preferably eaten in the morning), oatmeal, egg whites and the like. Whole and organic foods.
You know what not to eat..... sugary and salty snacks, fast food (and that includes pizza, chinese food, etc.)... avoid anything with "corn syrup" in the ingredients and if possible anything with any ingredient you can't pronounce or don't know what it is.

exercise!!!! Do some cardio and weight training every other day. No matter how small you are, you still need exercise. You might look good on the outside, but your heart and muscles need to be exercised.
When you just diet and don't exercise, the weight that you lose is muscle mass not fat, that is how you can be small but not toned and still see fat all over.
Hope this helps. We all just need to focus on being healthy and toned, not about just how much we weigh.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

5'4, 130 pounds does not sound fat to me at all. But keeping track of what you eat in a diary, counting calories, and drinking plenty of water are a good way to start to lose weight.
